PhotoImporter is growing up

Thanks to Thomas, I now have the toolbox complete to finish up the PhotoImporter for the first public 1.0 Version. Thomas wrote a tiny little .NET component for easily registering AutoPlay-Applications on Windows. Today I integrated this with the current version of PhotoImporter and made a test setup. Everything looks fine for now so I am going to make the last finishing works for the 1.0 Version.

TAO – the martial arts of noise

TAO - the martial art of noise…Yesterday we enjoyed the show “TAO – the martial art of noise” in Nuremberg. TAO are twelve highly trained people and a lot of “drum-ware” on the stage. It looks a little bit like the asian answer to “Stomp“. It was very amazing to see what man can get out of some simple (ok, some drums are at least very big) drums. Furthermore they performed highly synchronous and of course very powerful. They made about two hours of beautiful “noise” (yes, it’s loud!) and nobody on the stage seemed to be exhausted. So if you like drum music I recommend to visit this show.

I shot my mobile…

T-Mobile SDA… dead…After about two years of frustration, irritation and growing hate, I finally did it: I shot my mobile! With about 150 Bullets from two Walther airguns we put a stop on the life of my T-Mobile SDA. The device was running under Windows Mobile and I could not imagine the possibility of such a great usability flop. Stay tuned for the video…

Adding folders to ignored resources in using Subversive

For version control I am using Eclipse with the Subversive client (a Team Provider for Eclipse). If you want to add Visual Studio projects to version control it is a good idea to exclude the default binary folders (named “bin” and “obj”). Today I ran into a strange behaviour on achieving this.

I don’t know how this exactly works with the CVS Team Provider for Eclipse. When you want to add folders to the global “ignored resources” list using the SVN Team Provider, just add a pattern for the folder without any wildcards (e.g. if you want to exclude all “/bin/”-folders add a pattern for “bin”).

After that you must restart Eclipse for the changes to take effect. Patterns created like described above only apply on folder names, for example a file named “bin.txt” would be added to version control.

Hi. Die Automatik ist (mit meinem 17-40L an der 7D bei 17mm) hervorragend. Das Kameraprofil ist ja auch nicht soo wichtig. Jedenfalls musste ich nur einen Haken setzen und Verzeichnung und Vignetti...
